Keeper...
..one question....in your opinion is Marshall better then Dieng....?
..I know that two matches are not a great amount ...but from what I have seen till now Marshall looks to me a very good keeper and safer than Dieng. So I wonder who is going to be the starting one once Seni is back from Africa...

They say you should always have competition for places. I don't think either of these two would let us down.

Re: Keeper...
...sure and I hope that Dieng can learn from Marshall and become an even better keeper.....and I wonder how Marshall could have been relegated as the third choice at Derby...their first two must be exceptional....

If Marshall is better then keep him in. Players doing well should never be dropped either.

Re: Keeper...
As you say 2 games is a small sample size, but it sounds like Marshall is doing a great 'stand in' job. He is only with us until the end of the season, so whilst it's tempting to roll with the 'hot hand', Dieng is our #1 keeper.Giorgio wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 7:57 pm..one question....in your opinion is Marshall better then Dieng....?

Maybe Marshall will help Seny improve in his command of the area and marshalling the defense, if so we are set with Dieng... it will be interesting to see what happens.
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

Re: Keeper...
Marshall has been very good, but I think it’s way too early to compare him to Dieng.
I was quite nervous about this signing, having not played for months I thought he would be far more rusty - but credit to him, he’s came in and kept two clean sheets out of two.
Not a criticism, but he does have a tendency to palm a ball away rather than catch (one of Dieng’s biggest strengths IMO). It was only a last ditch tackle from Dickie that stopped us conceding a very soft goal against Coventry which he palmed straight back to them.
One thing I have noticed is his communication. Absolutely brilliant.

Just been watching Marshall come out before the Swansea game. He's been super talkative, looks like he's revving up the troop.

Three games and three clean sheets - you can't ask more than that.

Re: Keeper...
That wasn't him. He was only there for a few minutes. Nobody told him that it was a football match.

I wasn't that enthusiastic when we signed him but you know what, he is doing ok for an old Titan.
