A frantic start to the game. Both teams look evenly matched.

Decent first half and a very good game against an impressive Coventry.

We miss Wallace. And maybe also Kane?

No quality crosses into the box at all so far, and as limited as Kane was, his crosses allowed Austin to score goals.

I also think Johansen is much less impressive when he sits deep.

I know this is to allow Chair and Willock to play further forward, but he doesn't take up good positions to create space for the defenders passing the ball across the back three - he also seems to be a yard off the pace still.

Willock and Chair perhaps also a little tired after the game midweek, not quite holing the ball up as well as normal.

Nothing wrong with the performance so far, but we aren't quite winning the individual battles we need to in order to win this.

Perhaps Dykes for one of Chair/Willock in the second half, and give Coventry something more physical to worry about at the back.

But we would still need to find a way to get quality balls into the penalty area.

For the third home game in succession we are being undone by the opposition's pressing and intensity.
Question everything.

I think if we are going to play two wing backs and two creatives high up, they need to do a bit more to give us territory and possession.

Otherwise we end up bring overrun in the middle ...

That was a poor 1st half from us, Coventry hustle & bustle too much for our midfield. I expect subs in if this continues

You can already say Warbs has told SJ to stay further up the pitch.

It will give us more direction in attack.

Risk is conceding ...

Full credit to the manager.

Pushed the wing backs up, pushed SJ up, and then gambled with two up front.

Got what he deserved.

Now we can rest some players!

Well done Barber, but we've been poor most of this match. Barely deserved lead but I'll take it!😊

We now have two weeks to rest, recharge and get ready to go again.
