I see 50 year old men signing that song, so would you if you went to games. Fair enough you and some others don't like it, but the purpose of it is to support the team and no one can fault that.v |

I do go to games & have never seen anyone near me singing it.
As far as I am aware only the corner of Ellerslie Road & Loftus Road sing it.
The rest of us just quietly cringe & pray that someone will make it stop.
Come on people, use your vote, we used to be known as the most stylish team in West London / the whole of London for Christsake, the song is hardly likely to maintain that proud heritage now is it ???
Cheers |

The 16 / 17 year old author of this song probably felt very proud of himself when he penned this "anthem" and so he should be, its a very good song for a 16 / 17 year old to come up with.
But yes, this song was from last season & we should get shot of immediately, the words / melody dont fit properly & more importantly it makes us look properly stupid / smalltime.
The only adults I would expect to see singing this "anthem" would be exactly the same kind of dimwitted "Selhurst Park Nigels" that you see down at Crystal Palace.
The Song Has To Go.

The song is from the back end of Last Season & it should of been retired at the end of last season as well.
Just my opinion, at the ed of the day it is just a song.
But the point I am making is that it is a very very poor song & reflects poorly on us as fans & as a club, it makes us sound a little bit simple.
I doubt if Flavio Briatore is a fan of this song.

why should it of ended at the end of the season??? what makes it different to any other song? if thats the case surely every song should be retired at the end of the season it was first sung, i think what your saying is just stupid, if you don't like it then fair enough, but why should it be retired at the end of the season??? stupid remark |

Erm...let me give you a couple of examples from a couple of years ago, namely "Kevin Gallens Magic" & "Chim Chimminy Dan Shittu" both excellent terraces chants that would rock out across all sides of Loftus Road & gain respect from the away fans for being good football songs wth real with, delivery, crescendo's & impact like all clasic football terrace songs need to have.
Compare that to "We Are The Rent Boys" a song so cringeworthily bad that 90% of the ground refuses to sing it, also, it seems unlikely that the opposition support would respect a song that sounds very clearly like a proud declaration of Male Prositution from a couple of blocks away in Ellerslie Road, God knowswhat it sounds like in the away end ???!
My wish is that they cant hear it in the away nd, thus we avoid further unneccesary embarrassment.
Lets put this unfortunate episode to bed once & for all & get back to singing songs that are befitting of Loftus Road IE "Kevin Gallens Magic" & "Chim Chimminy, Chim Chimminy, Chim Chim Cheroo"
Cheers |

He's on planet Beckenham, Pete, where he is deaf, dumb and blind to all but that which he agrees with. Fact is, I like the Rangers Boys chant, nowt wrong with it all. And funny enough, the majority of posters on this board agree. So basically, even though he can't handle the truth, he's out-voted, out-classed, and already outed as a closet homophobe with paranoid tendencies. Poor bastard. _________________ Natural Philosopher |
