Oh for fucksake! It sounds exactly like "we are the rangers boys" and not "we are the rent boys". If you can't work out the words of that song, you must be flipping deaf!? _________________ Champions Of Europe 0 Kings Of West London 1 |

| Agreed it, when I heard it first I thought it was we are the racing boys- which could be good now but common sense prevailed. The song is brilliant away from home- end of Bristol City away and also on Monday night. Simple but effective... cannot see a problem? I'm sure some people on here just try to find negatives in things. |

Have to say I watched the match on Sky and at times the chant sounded like we are the rent boys even though I know they were singing Rangers boys _________________ According to rumours, I am "personelly responsable for the destruction of our club". Obviously, spelling and common sense aren't rumours strong points. |

It's quite amusing seeing people say that they're singing "Rangers" and not "Rent" as if we, the listener, were lieing and also I saw someone say we must be (expletive deleted) deaf.
We KNOW what is being sung now it has been explained - but believe me what it sounds like to those of us sitting away from the singers is NOT the same and that's just unadultered FACT.
Sorry but the truth hurts sometimes!
Incidentally I don't have a problem with the chant when I can hear the correct words. _________________ My son has had his account published of cycling around the world on his own - for 4 years!

its all about the orginality of the song
Away supporters have not heard it anywhere else. Most football supporters chants are well known. So if away support hear it, they may not have a clue what it is. Does that make sense? it will be a case of trying to listen to the words.
Though as someone has said rangers is completely different to rent.
It first started at Southend last season, they were singing the song at the end, as they had cottoned onto it straight away.
maybe anyone North of Watford has problems understanding it, I don't know. For example Wolves are the only club to play that tune for when the players come out and they don't even sing it. (as the wolves bit won't go)
Its unique at the moment and that can only be a good thing aye? |

Well maybe you need some new recording equipment ... or new ears? because I've been over it a number of times (purely to check impressions from the match and earlier viewings of the recording ) and at no point does it ever sound like "rent boys"
And if you don't understand what is being said or sung ... in any context .... you tend to put in a logical insertion.
What would be logical about singing "we are the rent boys"? .... Or to fit properly ...."We are the rare - ent boys"? |

It's definitely one of the worst songs we've come up with in living memory. up there with "Jose Mourinho is gay". Surely we can come up with better songs than this. The Rangers Boys doesn't sound like Rent boys to me really, but it still makes me cringe whenever I hear it. Fans of other teams that I know have all commented saying how dreadful it is too.
Anyway, there seems to be a lot of debate about whether it's good or bad, so that in itself should suggest we should try something else. Can't we come up with a good, original song that EVERYONE likes and can join in on? |

Just a thought, but maybe all the people who think it sounds like 'rent boys' should try having some Freudian analysis... |

no way, it's a great song, and anyway, after mrqpr1981 took out a second mortgage to get it printed on the back of his shirt, i think he'd be pretty steamed off if we stopped now! |

I'm sure you're claim to originality is very tongue in cheek! Liverpool have used it from 2002, and other teams who use it include Cardiff, Wolves, Southend and Walsall!

I love we are the rangers boys chant.
Why do people think it sounds like we are the rent boys?!?!?!
It doesn't!! You can hear everyone clearly singing we are the RANGERS boys!!! _________________ "GOAL QPR!! Tommy Smith nets three minutes into stoppage time and the blue and white Premier League party has started!! Watford 0 QPR 2!!" |
