I have to hand it to Facher - a great con-woman. To vote tory you need to be either rich and selfish, or a dupe. She found plenty of the latter.

Me too Dave. What a sad thing to see. There's us thinking what a truly great, cosmopolitan club QPR is, and then the cold hard reality hits us; we've been infiltrated by the Chelscum brigade. Interesting to note not one Thatcherite has come out of the woodwork yet and had the guts to own up to it. Mad

I'd have voted for Attlee simply for the introduction of the NHS and the implementation of the recommendations in the Beveridge report. Recommendations which were ruthlessly abandoned by that bitch Thatcher. So next time you wonder at the state of the NHS, pensions, the lack of social responsibility and compassion running through our society, high fuel bills or lack of available social housing, bow down at the dark altar of Thatcher and give thanks for all she has done.

It's nothing of the sort. It's like blaming Nazism on Hitler. Thatcher started a programme of dismantling the Welfare State and set about destroying the consensus won by Attlee regarding the principles outlined in the Beveridge report. That successive governments have carried on along much the same path as Thatcher doesn't mean it isn't down to her. I don't see how blaming Thatcherism on Thatcher is particularly contentious.

Well. Well. Well.

As ever, the militant, vocal minority ruthlessly taken apart by the silent majority. Bitch and moan all you like, and boy do you all like to bitch and moan, but common sense prevails.

I feel a new avatar coming on.....
