Sorry to be pedantic but at the end of this year we we cannot be crowned champions even if we win every game because the end of year will be like every year 31st December. I did go for Champions though as I truly believe that we will be the best team in the championship.

I never bet on QPR it's a rule I have had for a long time. I know that sounds that I am running scared but tell me would you seriously back against your team. I am convinced we will be champions and I take it that you don't, that's you opinion and your entitled to it.
The reasons I think we will end up top of the Championship are that we are slowly building a squad capable of achieving this with more signings to come. It's obvious that the new owners are expecting promotion and I honestly don't see any other club getting close. If you look at our competition for promotion they all have issues.
As for IQ and academic qualifications, these are irrelevant. As for my footy watching experience that would be about 27 years, which I think gives me a good perspective. As for predictions I do have reasonably good record when it comes to predicting champions prior to the season.

Of COURSE I'd bet against my team ...... and have done.
Always nice to have some financial remuneration if we lose a big game .... though obviously I would ALWAYS prefer the win to the cash
As for the rest ...... predicting/forecasting etc can be reasonably reliable when enough scientific evidence is available (though even weather and economic forecasters frequently get things wrong)?
Having a "guess" loosely based simply on available information is fine for gamblers but ......
We don't know what our squad (and/or "issues") will be yet ....... let alone what the opposition has .... or will have.
Then you have to factor in dodgy decisions, injuries, suspensions etc etc over a long season?
So, IMO, we have a chance of being champions ....... but to claim that any logical process can predict that we WILL be is flawed thinking.
I hope you are right .......I really, really do .......... but, especially with Rangers, it pays to remember that a Pessimist is never disappointed  |

At the end of the season .... if success is achieved ...... every man and his dog will be keen to to say that they never had any doubts ....
Likewise if it it all goes t*ts up, the queue of hindsight-experts will be long.
Personally, I have hopes, expectations and doubts ........ but that is surely what it's all about?
Expect too much and there's always a high risk of disappointment ....... be too negative and .... well where's the fun in that.
HOPE is the key...... it's what make it all fun  |

I don't understand why you would "never bet against your team".
The idea of betting (for me, anyway) is to win money. If I think my team will lose, I will bet against them, just as I've won a lot of cash over the last 5 years or so by backing Chelsea to win even though I despise them. Never mix sentiment with business.
That said, as a rule I think it's bad practice to have a bet on a match featuring your team as it's hard to be objective. |
