They have placed on record at an Edinburgh court that they are considering entering administration.
They now have ten days to weigh up their options before deciding whether to continue trading as they are or enter administration.
It is a move to force the issue on their tax bill (£45m off the top of my head).
Not entirely new and expected.... |

apparently the tax bill is £75m and they don't much tv money to help. Que Rangers and Celtic trying to join in on the Prem gravy train again which they'll need to to compete/survive. Whoever had Celtic to win the SPL will be picking their winnings up early. _________________ Crying won't help you praying won't do you no good |

Even if they do go into admin and get deducted 10 points they would be still second.
I still think the Scottish League is pointless but I feel for their fans. _________________ "GOAL QPR!! Tommy Smith nets three minutes into stoppage time and the blue and white Premier League party has started!! Watford 0 QPR 2!!" |

How can this happen? They are in a two horse race every year, and are the reigning champions. Regular cup finals and European football to boost the coffers, and they owe the tax man how much?
Total mismanagement.
SSN are saying that the club folding is a possibility (however small) Where would that leave Celtic? In a one horse race every year!
We should not even think about discussing Celtic & Rangers joining the Premier League. _________________ Saturday 9th November 1968: QPR V Burnley in the First Division - I saw the Hoops for the first time and my obsession began!

If Rangers do fold then they may as well just get rid of the Scottish Premier League. It's a waste. _________________ "GOAL QPR!! Tommy Smith nets three minutes into stoppage time and the blue and white Premier League party has started!! Watford 0 QPR 2!!" |

Despite being a celtic follower I believe that this is the worse thing that can happen to Scottish football. It's already in a very fragile state and without one of the big two then the only way for it is down. It is already always a two horse race, so now have no one to compete with them at the moment.
OR - please someone help me on this one
can rangers come back debt free & make the same mistakes as previous owners?
What is to stop them doing this? |

If Rangers go under perhaps we can see some of the other clubs pick up the mantle (and their support) Dundee Utd. Hearts and Aberdeen have all had their moments in the spotlight so can profit from one of the best bits of football news since Noah landed on Mt. Is that when he discovered the 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 formation? |

Come off it Esox they won't go under, we're talking about administration, they won't even be relegated. Apart from anything else Aberdeen, Dundee and Hearts are miles away. I would definitely give up on QPR and go and support a random team 120 miles away (How about Villa) or 70 miles away Norwich?) if we went into administration. Oh wait a minute, we already did go into administration.
Just re-read that, it looks as if I give a t*ss about Scottish football, just for avoidance of doubt, I think our views concur on that point at least - I don't. |
