Perhaps clean air, a decent standard of living and a reduced chance of being stabbed stems the creative juices.

Unless they've gone to Manchester when the opposite applies.

I was actually thinking of wolverhampton! but anywhere in wales would apply equally as well.

Devizes is the regional epicentre of culture, taste and refinement; I would never suggest such a place. Chippenham... different story.

Good man. Chippenham does have a good folk festival though.

Can anyone recommend a more user-friendly home page that isn't covered in adverts and pop-ups?

I see so its designed with women in mind possibly by women for women even. Sorry if that sounds sexist its not meant to.

I think change is alien to a lot of people. It is what it is and it won't change for a while so I just got on with working out what I want out of it and it's fine.I am struggling to see how it isn't an improvement.
I don't get pop ups on there either but I have a pop up blocker I use with Chrome and Firefox.

It's also busted all the old RSS feeds. I had a really nice Premier league Google Gadget which I had to get rid of because it doesn't update any more.

Happy with change. Change can be good.
I have accepted the change and "tried to get on with it". But after a month I still see it as a total feckin mess.

I just find it so much easier to find what I want and it loads a lot faster IMO. Almost every heading or sub heading is a link therefore getting to where you want is faster. The tabs along the top are also a great idea.
I would be interested in what people think are its downsides, and I don't mean saying "it's shit" Very Happy

I missed the Live Videprinter. But then searching for it, I found it. If they intended keeping it, why hide it Twisted Evil

The Conference North and South divisions have also been removed from the home page. I found them after a bit of digging but why, why why?

It's about elitism (what the BBC should be be standing against) and, obviously if all you care (know) about are the top levels of sport then the revamped site is bound to appeal.

As I still have a soft spot for Hayes & Yeading that was one of my first bits of 'sorting out' and the same applies to the North & South. Click on <football> from the home page then use the drop down in <latest football> to pick out whichever division of football you choose. I actually thought the new way was an improvement.

Not sure of the significance of that but no; I can only think of two garments I own that are yellow, one is a Columbus Crew home shirt and the other is an Aussie fluoro yellow and lime green factor 50 sunshirt Shocked

A very high percentage of my apparel contains blue and where possible the correct shade of blue Wink

So the main colour on your BBC football site is not Yellow?
