February 1970: Young QPR fans show off their match tickets for Rangers’ FA Cup Sixth Round home tie against London rivals Chelsea at Loftus Road.

Is that Kenny Jackett 3rd from left? Very Happy

6 shillings a ticket.

My Nan was living in Portnall Road then, number 97.
Later a crack house I'm told.
Possibly after Nan moved.

The kid front right has a QPR programme (with the famous checked front) so I think it's a reasonable assumption.

Funnily enough, I used to know Milton quite well. A very nice man but not an R's fan. Not even a football fan. Or a fan of any sport. So it ain't him.

The young lad with the programme is Thomas Turgoose's uncle (This is England).

Remember the game quite well, and can confirm the ground and most of the loft was full of those rascals from SW6, so you may have a point John.

As for the programme, in those days it was quite normal for Chels fans to go to Rangers games and vice versa, I guess there wasn't so much to do in those days! I also remember segregation wasn't even heard of and folk didn't wear football shirts, and the scarves were identical blue and white. Of course this all started to change with the invention of the infamous 'silk scarf'!

So anyone with a QPR programme is an R then!

In that case, based on the last program I ever bought, that must make me an Oxford United fan. Great day it was, we won the 1986 Milk Cup when we beat, err, umm, your lot...shat all over you 3-0.

Gone to pot since mind!!
