flipping hell.I have to run my fathers shop again, collect pence and listen to costumers that Tesco is cheaper, and my stuff is out of date, what a Saturday I have lined up. I will drink the whiskey and fill it up with my piss, so my father can sell it to someone on Sunday or Monday. Put him in trouble.

He has probably already pissed in your whiskey.

Blimey!!! When did a pint of beer go over a quid? that's ridiculous, it's mostly water.

Have you seen the price of water these days? I find drinking alcohol with lower water content to be more efficacious and fiscally prudent. Today I am mostly drinking Jagermeister and Sambuca Black.

I do remember once thinking why don't the government stop dicking around with the duties and just make beer £1/pint and petrol (there was only one type) £2/gallon.

My first pint (might be worthy of a separate thread)...

Double Diamond 77p/pint (The Swallow, Leigh Park) 1978

Mine would have undoubtedly been a large bottle of woodpecker cider that one of the older boys bought from the dodgy offy at the Grapes in Hayes. Probably around 67-68. We were allowed 'sips' of Guinness growing up when the adults had had so much that they thought it 'wouldn't do us any harm' Wink

Diet Coke, mostly water, £2.50 in the Coach and Horses, Brentford/Syon Park. Used to be a Pub, now it's a Gastropub.

My company moved to Maple Cross about 15 months back, and the price of beer in Ricky and the surrounding area was a real shock to the system.

It hasn't really stopped us going though Embarassed

As for the QPR free weekend, I'll be outside Adel Taarabt's house booing, tutting, and looking for somebody to put a shift in.

I know he's away, but you've got to keep your hand in.

Had to put my old dog to sleep yesterday, so today, I'm waiting in for the home check people from a rescue in South Wales. Assuming they make it, I'll then spend tomorrow driving to South Wales to look at Border Collies.

Unless someone on here knows of a Collie needing a good home? We already have an 11 year old collie so would need to be OK with that.

Thought I'd ask.

I've got two eight year old Border Collies. I take them to the park most days but they always find their way back.
