With QPR not involved in any match, yesterday evening I went to the local pub with some office colleagues to watch Inter Milan - Bologna....
I am originally from Bologna and I am a fan of the "red&blues" ..with my 3 mates being all Inter's fans...and before the match they were teasing me and kidding, thinking of an easy task and how many goals they were going to score....
...but at the end I was the one dancing on the table...!!....

Now I hope the Rs can give me a similar joy very soon... |

Do you know that the famous Spaghetti bolognese are the biggest FRAUD about the Italian cousine abroad...??
You will never find them in Bologna....
The reason...??
Spaghetti are from Naples..in the south...therefore in Bologna you can find other kind and shape of pasta...tipically the Bolognese sauce comes with Tagliatelle....

When he arrived 3 seasons ago everybody was afraid we was "finished"..instead he has scored over 60 goals till now...
still very sharp and dangerous...
I remember he was mentioned among the dozens of Italian players that were supposed to land at LR... |

Yeah I knew that.
Gino D'Acampo stuff, innit.
But letting truth get in the way of attempted humour would be silly.
Of course "pasta" is only really mis-shapen noodles (as brought from China by Marco Polo). |

Grande Bologna!!!
It was a bit too easy though, what with the Inter players playing like muppets to get Ranieri sacked; home defeats to Novara and Bologna stinks a bit but anyway, who cares

Do they still have all those roadworks around Bologna? Found myself off the A1 and diverted around many industrial estates which appeared to have lots of scantily clad young ladies thumbing for lifts for some reason? Was difficult to explain to my 10 year old what it was they were doing there! Eventually the satnav got us back to the motorway, having seen it in the distance and driven parallel with it for several miles! _________________ "I have always thought in the back of my mind cheese and onions". |

Actually I can not say..as I am from Bologna but I left 15 years ago - and go there only twice a year to see friends and relatives - being based now in Dublin...
Anyway, knowing how things go on down there, I presume that they moved the roadworks around ...and around...here and there...never ending them... |

Ah that explains it Giorgio, so very Italian, you have to love everything about the country. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bologna city council were in for a cut from the ladies of the night, we must have driven past them 3 times due to those infernal roadworks! _________________ "I have always thought in the back of my mind cheese and onions". |

You could have said to your son, that those "pretty"ladies were on the spot to help the distressed drivers to find the way back to the main road and out of that mess...
Italians can be very friendly....latin heritage.. |

..not too many roadworks about but the ladies are still there...'waiting for the bus' as they say round here when explaining these things to the kids.
What about Bologna last night? Top notch putting one over the dodgy Viola- they look to be turning into a pokey little team, just what we can do, starting Saturday.
Come on you R's, lets's have Fulham on toast! |
