I retired after five marathons in NYC back in 2009.

All of them had some 'QPR' element to them on the day which masked the fact that none of them featured hamstrings...they being left back in the 1980s!

Thinking of doing a Balboa and coming out of retirement to maybe run a few halves though. The full distance beyond me these days, alas.

However, any mountaineers out there, been looking into that malarkey and would appreciate some thoughts.

JH, good to see you back here.

I finally got round the 42k in Dublin last October - the one an only!

Nice one Brian.

Taken an age to get settled in Manila and as I had forgotten my password, I had to wait until we got the t'internet set up to log on!

Anyway, what's happening, are we safe yet? In Neil we trust and I assume Bothroyd's been banging them in...maybe Flav, Bernie and GP aren't so bad after all.

JH, all you need to know is that the FA decided that as we couldn't be punished at the end of last season, they would reduce this season to only one fixture - we got Man City away, and Bolton (who cheated us out of a goal in the dark ages) have been given a minus 2 point start and an away fixture at Stoke.
They banished NW to the purgatory of Bates as a chairman and tried to get Tango and Cash turned over in Bahrain. Meanwhile in other news, a bloke called Fernandes bought the club wth the proceeds of your numerous flights round SE Asia - rumour is he's going to fund next season's transfers with your priority pass contributions Smile

Great summary EastR. Not sure how long you've been away JH but if you want something in a bit more detail then try this;

Also, by way of thanks for your indirect help with the funding, Fernandes wants to put your surname on the back of the players shorts next season.
