I know that it was only one performance and Mark Hughes said he wasn't looking at Euros for players but, Simon Kjaer put in an impressive shift against the Dutch last night - only 23 and playing Serie A with Roma.
Good option at centre half? |

| To be fair, he's only been on loan at Roma and they don't want him permanently after he had a poor season. So he'll be going back to Wolfsburg, and a manager in Magath that he has said he will never play for again. So he probably is available but probably still not a realistic target. |

Sometimes the right player in the right position in the right formation in the right team will play much better than one where one of those elements is missing. Look at Danny Shittu as centre forward against Leeds last season. _________________ It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope. |

We've had a few of those over the years, I think (hope) to use the well worn qprdot.org terminology ...

| The game against the Netherlands was Simon's first decent game for years - at least for the Danish national side |

Wasn't Wolfsburg the club that wanted Adel Taarabt, this could be more realistic than we think?
Am i correct? was it Wolfsburg?

Absolutely no thanks...
Granted, he had a good game yesterday, but his overall consistency is poor.
If we were to get him based on a international tournament, I'll have images of Spurs 94 with Dumitrescou and Popescu. Good for a fortnight, rubbish for a season. |

Simon seems to play well in Italy (Palermo + Roma), but struggled in Germany. I don't think he is well suited to the PL. He is a decent man-marker in Italy, but might get bullied in England agaist big strong strikers and defenders. Not sure, he would be the best move for QPR, though like the idea of another Dane |

I think he'd be a great signing, bags of potential and better than any centreback we currently have. _________________
