New Zealand defender Ryan Nelsen has moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Queens Park Rangers on a free transfer.
Last season, Nelsen made 4 starts and had a further 5 appearances as a substitute for Spurs. He was also an unused sub in 9 more matches.
His only goal for Spurs came against Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup.

Yes, I thought he was a solid, if unspectacular defender.
He certainly didn't look out of place in our line-up and what he lacked in speed he made-up for in experience.
I wouldn't want him as a first choice central defender but he's more than able to do a good job as a stand-in when injuries and suspensions come round. |

Not that type of impression you fool...did you master his nasally Kiwi accent and the funny pronunciation of the numbers 6 (sux), 10 (tin) and their insistence on calling the English staple 'fush and chups'. Plus facial expressions, tics and other Nelsonesque peculiarities?

My good fellow, I'm not sure how many people you're met from NZ but I'm kiwi and you are far off the mark with your stereotypes. I'll give you the facial expressions though  |
