As pointed out earlier in the thread, some people's computers are clearly loading from the cache. Despite that, it has changed. _________________ 'Live every week like it is shark week' |

Who was talking about Blackberrys, its not 2005? iPhones are slow and have poor screen size for browsing. Maybe the new one will be better if they upgrade to 4G and get a decent screen but until that point they are not in the top ten phones available. |
Not in the top 10 of phones available? Now you are just making things up. Go on name 10 better handsets.
Regardless of if it is best or not you are ignoring two things:
1) It doesn't really matter if iPhone is the best handset or not, its the biggest web browser in the uk (http://gs.statcounter.com/#mobile_os-GB-monthly-201107-201207 this link also makes your BlackBerry comment fairly irrelevant) so for a site to not work on it (when it did yesterday) is a big deal.
2) It's not working on any mobile phones properly so I don't really get your iPhone comment in the first place, apart from you want to be an Android (I'm guessing) snob who likes to put down Apple (which is a better all round product).
As it goes I'm not an Apple snob, never owned one (except for work). My personal phone is currently a Nokia 6500 (rocking the Feature phone). _________________

| For those not seeing the new site it's because the old one is still in your cache. Press ctrl and F5 at the same time and the new one will appear. |

| Why do web designers persist with using "The Gaffer" to describe the club manager? Are we all stupid? Maybe I suppose. |

Is the menu bar covering the players faces for everyone or is it just my Mac? (using Firefox)

Had a quick look and my first impression was - I can't get in, then I see the tiny go to main site on the pop up iPlayer sponsor box.
Then mainly black, which just makes all the banners at to busy. A bad design, don't like it.
Will have a longer play around the site at a later date to see how easy it is to find the info I would be looking for and see that latest news can be found and read easy enough. If not I will just stop using it and just come here and let you all update me haha. _________________ Get in there - http://www.twitter.com/jason_maskell |

Unfortunately this is probably limited to what the contract with Perform/PTV allows. Best the club could have achieved in the circumstances IMO. Would like to see a decent conversion to a mobile app though. |
But it wasn't perfom, it was a new contract with Sapient Nitro, would have been built from scratch, new CMS I assume. |
My understanding was that it was a bit of a rebrand with a new skin designed by Sapient. The underlying structure was still the generic Perform piece. If not, they need to send it back!! |

Lots of knickers seem to be unnecessarily twisted here....
Are "official" websites designed for the likes of us anyway?
Die-hard match attenders across the footballing firmament have long since ditched "official" sites, mocked them for being hopelessly stringent and providing news that has broken across independent boards, Twitter and other social networks much faster. We've learned to harvest our gossip and news from these sources and interacted with other fans in a far more social way than we ever would if we just hung around the "offish" waiting for an update or transfer news once in a blue moon?
Surely "official" sites are aimed at being pretty and grabbing floating fans or overseas visitors, promotional vehicles to drive product and third party product, to sell tickets and to sell merchandise as their core reason for existence? Occasionally, very occasionally you'll get some top drawer innovation (see www.mcfc.co.uk where money is never, ever, ever a barrier) but in the vast majority, I'd bet that the dwell time for ST holders on "official" sites is far far less than their dwell time on similar messageboards to this.
Just a thought |

iPhone is 3G, kills its chances from being in the top ten of anything. Maybe it was once a top ten phone and maybe in popularity its is but spec wise it lacks. Any of the Samsung, Nokia, HTC 4G handsets are above Apple as things stand. Samsung have the Nexus, Not and S3, HTC have various guises of the One, Incredible 4G. Nokia Lumia. All better than the iPhone. |

Yes, that's how it looks on my (Mac / Safari) browser. Same in Chrome. I'm guessing this is just teething problems? |

Well quite, its a ridiculous point. and even so he has only named 5 phones. If all of them were better than the iPhone (which they are not) it would still leave it 6th.
I'll tell you what you can have the Toco Lite if your really struggling? _________________
