Dont like Dyer at full back,

I thought he had a fantastic gane there for us against spurs. They have some excellent wide players and he did a first rate job against them. Yes I agree, I would prefer to see him in midfield but while we are struggling to find 4 fit defenders he'll do for me. Surprised

It seemed to me that Dyer was coping well only because Bale was playing full-back instead of AssouEkotto. When AVB moved him to the wing then they looked dangerous and looked more likely to score

He didn't have a good game against Reading there.

Onuoha......Mbia..........Nelsen....Hill isn't a bad back four at all tbf. God knows why people are suggesting Dyer..Nelsen...Hill...Onouha Shocked

Why would you have Onouha left back when Hill has done quite well there in the past?

Park...Faurlin...Granero...Hoilett

.....Zamora...Cisse.....

Think I'd go for

Cesar

Dyer, Nelsen, Hill, Onouha

M'Bia/Diakite

Park Granero Hoillet

Cisse Zamora

Back 4 is obviously assuming Traore isn't back, if he is replace Dyer and switch Onouha.

Would like to see Granero or Faurlin play with a more defensive minded midfielder. Assuming Faurlin might need a rest, I've gone with a M'Bia or Diakite sitting behind Granero.

Diakite isn't a defensive midfielder though

All I will say is that if Adel is fit he has to play. I'm losing patience with Hughes & his refusal to play Adel.

Hughes played Adel against Swansea and we lost 5-0.

He saw more of the ball in that game than any other Rangers player - don't get me wrong, Adel can be quality but I wish sometimes reasonable levels were applied when judging players and managers at Rangers.

Adel can add to our attacking play but he will also leave gaps defensively, which we can ill afford based on current form. He wasted a lot of decent possession in the Swansea game but the likes of SWP get slaughtered for wasting less possession.

Similar with Hughes, I get the impression that he is not every fans cup of tea, and given the opportunity, most seem to want shot of him. I hope the club stick by him and give him a chance - think there are positive signs throughout the team, and whatever is said, the injuries defensively are having an impact.

Similarly, we do need a further period for the most recent signings to settle in - given a bit more time, I am certain the team and results will settle down for the better.

I am another who can see Hughes playing Mbia in front of the back 4. This would allow Granero and Faurlin to play a little higher up the field supporting the attack more.

So for me a sort of 433.

Cesar
Dyer - Hill - Nelsen - Onuoha
Granero - Mbia - Faurlin
Park - Zamora - Hoilett

Dyer is able to give attacking width on the right with Park covering and Hoilett is able to play quite a free role as Onuoha isn't doesn't get forward much.

Interesting side, although with that back 4 I'd switch Onuoha and Hill.
Is anyone aware of Taarabt's availability?

Did you even see that game?

Taarabt was one of the few players that had a decentish game. The reason we lost that is because we played Diakite in defensive midfield along side Park, who was all over the the place and we had Fabio spending the whole game in the Swansea half.

I was trying to make the point that whilst judging all of our other players for errors and mistakes, Adel too made mistakes anf for a key player, perhaps might have hoped for more based on the amount of ball he was afforded by the team in that game.

what ever we do we need two up front - Zamora can't play against four every week and hope we nick a goal. We're breaking well and getting the ball across only to find SWP as the only target
