I'm confused. Why are we playing Field at CB when he's never really played there and we have Dom Ball on the bench who has.

This could and should have been a crucial match for both teams. Such a shame that we collapsed with such big (managerial) consequences.

Warburton hasn’t fancied Dom Ball all season has he, should have been considered when the wheels started coming off.deadendjob wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 6:46 pmI'm confused. Why are we playing Field at CB when he's never really played there and we have Dom Ball on the bench who has.

This second half has really been men against boys so far.

Tonight’s game sums up the season, started with great promise and then fell apart.

Exactly, we are a genuine Jeckyll and Hyde team.
Next season is going to be an enormous challenge. At the moment we must be seen by most as genuine relegation candidates. Let us hope that a new manager and new players can put a new spring in our step.

It seems like only yesterday we were raving about this team. Players don't go from good to bad in a few months unless something has happened within the club to knock the stuffing out of them.
We will probably never know but it does not augur well for next season.

Seeing as the Profit and Sustainability rules are judged on a three year cycle I am beginning to think that perhaps we went for it this season, failed and now have to cut back.
We signed a few, Charlie and Johansen would not have been cheap, loans were likely expensive.
This might explain Barbet going, Austin going.
