Compare that to "We Are The Rent Boys" a song so cringeworthily bad that 90% of the ground refuses to sing it,
You live in a dream world, if you really believe that..
people can like it or not like it, but to say 90% don't sing it , what planet are you on? |
OK Pete I was being harsh.
Its a song so cringeworthily bad that 80 - 85% of the ground refuse to sing it.
Happy with that ???

I'm not. It's plainly factually wrong. (for home games)
Last night it rang around LR with huge support several times.
Also at away games this chant is electric. It galvanizes the fans and has done so for about 12 months. Stands literally rock with it.
I'm not a huge fan of qblockpete's use of this message board to promote his own site via somewhat dodgy and un-E-thical mechanisms at various stages.
But this is a good chant. And it's quite odd that you persist in your completely simple minded opposition to it. _________________ Just keep calm. |

Well, Horses for course as they say.
I guess this chant is like Marmite, I dont know anybody who loves it to be fair, but I know plenty who hate it.
Each to their own as they say.
Although I think its fair to say that it wont win greatest QPR terrace chant of alltime ( sarcasm ).

to be fair, this post will have little effect on whether people sing the song or not.
The 90% quote brought down to 80% not singing the song, had me in stitches
Don't understand how anyone can knock something positive. |

I'm not meaning to knock something positive Pete, to be honest, I wish I could be as genuinely enthusiastic about Rangers as you appear to be, fair play to you.
The song is like Marmite though IMO.

Am i the only one that doesn't understand WTF this is about?
I've never heard anyone sing 'we are the rent boys' - the song we sing is 'we are the rangers boys' which doesn't sound like 'we are the rent boys', it sounds like, errrr, 'we are the rangers boys'.
'rent' has one syllable, 'rangers' has two - in fact apart from the alliterative aspect there's no similarity at all in how they sound.
What a stupid thread ('so why did you reply' etc etc - don't bore me...)
cheers

Just to stick my oar in....
The only place i've heard it sound like Rangers boys is in P block upper. Any other location it sounds like rent boys or a mix of the both. I've heard people around me question why we sing about being rent boys but then join in anyway.
It is'nt one of my favourites, but what the heck, keep it anyway. |
