I know, it leaves so many questions. Most importantly; is it good aids or bad aids?

the interesting thing is that from my position just past the half way line (towards the School End) I could hear, for possibly the first ever time that the song was actually "We are the Rangers Boys" Cool

I therefore have two theories:-

1. The song has a maximum singing value (MSV) whereby the mass of voices must not exceed a set value otherwise the lyrics distort.

2. The missing people from the choir do actually sing "We are the Rent Boys" and should be identified and outed now!

Shocked

The Drogba song is a disgrace.

This is what AIDS does,

So if you think singing that song is big or clever you should think again...

Sadly though this song along with the Mourhinio one shows what kind of idiots frequent football grounds.

Don ... I'm gonna suggest this gently ..... Razz

Football serves many purposes .....

And is the world's biggest sport for more (and more obscure) reasons other than people like watching men kick a ball around?

Being Human means that, to a geater of lesser degree, we all have in-built insecurities, jealousies, hatreds, pettiness, anger, violence, selfishness etc etc etc?

No sane person would dispute the devastion of AIDS (maybe a few neo-Nazi authors?) .....

But is the behaviour at Football matches a worthwhile price if it is cathartic (in a seemingly safe area) to get those nasties out?

Especially if, in the greater picture, the battle against AIDS is unaffected?

There seem to be an awful lot of places where blind evil hatred is poured from fans in grounds ..... but those places usually have relatively lower incidences of violence in the local society. Compare Barca/Real ... Celtic/Rangers .... etc V the non-footballing countries of Ireland and the USA etc.

It might seem a simplistic argument and I'd love to see proper reseach done ......

But what I do know is ....

I don't indulge in (most Embarassed ) of the hate-based behaviour at games ....

But I (and people I know well enough to discuss it with) generally feel a bit "better", less "stressed" ..... "cleansed"? after a match .... and the hotter the atmosphere, the more so the effect.

Doubtless many of the people involved in the behaviour you despise only do so when football related .... perhaps many work in caring professions and/or are personally affected?

If my reply IS simplistic, then perhaps judging what football fans do (while involved in football-related matters) in terms of "normal" behaviour, is also a bit simplistic?

Just a thought? Idea

Back to the topic in hand, I hope that the people that are voting in favour of this absolute abomination of a song are all the 17 year old Burberry Cap / Acne Clad pre pubescents in Ellerslie Road ???
The 16 / 17 year old author of this song probably felt very proud of himself when he penned this "anthem" and so he should be, its a very good song for a 16 / 17 year old to come up with.
But yes, this song was from last season & we should get shot of immediately, the words / melody dont fit properly & more importantly it makes us look properly stupid / smalltime.
The only adults I would expect to see singing this "anthem" would be exactly the same kind of dimwitted "Selhurst Park Nigels" that you see down at Crystal Palace.
The Song Has To Go.

Is it hard for you to accept you're being out-voted? Poor thing. And after such a strident speech. I don't know what the world's coming to, when people just can't see common sense like you do.

I'm not being outvoted at all, this is just an example of "The Clique's" sinister & corrupt influence at work.
If you sang "We Are The Rent Boys" in a Pub, & were a fully grown man then people would laugh at you, if you sang "We Are The Rent Boys" in a Pub, & were a 16 / 17 year old IE: This songs target audience, well, you shouldnt be in a Pub in the first place, you should be in the local park with a few cans of Cider / bottles of Bacardi Breezer where you could sing "We Are The rent Boys" & other juvenile ditties, to your hearts content.
As for the Middle Aged Liberal Clique on here singing "We Are The Rent Boys, Stand Up & Make Some Noise" ?? What a truly ridiculous & cringeworthy thought that is.
I've heard more mature & intelligent songwriting on The Teletubbies.
Cheers Cool
