As a previous "lurker" you will surely be aware that there are some that post on here who are merely interested in being " " (mainly because they have schoolboy-level mentality) and many other trolls have started politely before revealing their true colours. So why not just assume we all welcome you, even as an anonymous newbie? Then we can go from there.
That'd save you from being offended --- and who would want that. |

Is that a good way to describe someone who is merely embarrassed by fellow citizens ---especially those who combine poor spelling and grammar with abject laziness and a pitifully weak attitude towards their own failings yet deem themselves worthy to criticise others. Others, among whom, it should be said, are many who might be doing not so well at the moment but who (from the boardroom at QPR to mere reserve players) all earn considerably more for what passes for their efforts than almost all (or all) of the posters on here?
Obviously I AM that ---- but also so much more. |

I am happy that for once you took my comments in the context in which they were intended.
And yes, I agree, you are so much more
BTW: Do you have some form of bedside alarm that alerts you when your name is mentioned on here, or are you also in a different time zone?
I was almost certain that as it is past 4am in The U.K, that I was safe from an immediate response _________________ Rush Hour in Central Ontario

Different time zone (kind of). I usually need very little sleep (a couple of hours in any 24) though occasionally I will go out deeply for a 12 hour sleep. It has many advantages and some disadvantages. I have a laptop with full mobile access, good typing skills and a low boredom threshold. And I know that, contrary to ideas commonly held by many, the World (or even England) does not close down at midnight GMT. I also have a number of different applications on the go and the Org provides an easy and relaxing outlet/distraction for me in which I can I read about and discuss Rangers while irritating those that deserve it.
And if I can make even one person re-evaluate their own personal standards then I will have done a good job for Humanity and our country.
I expect the fact you left the UK had nothing to do with anything remotely relevant to any of that. |

I too used to suffer that ailment, but find these day's a minimum of 6 hours sleep is required for me to be able to function at work.
As for my move to Canada, that was based on two different scenarios.
I Came here on vacation with my Canadian wife in 2005 & fell in love with the scenery & the warm welcome of the people.
I found that London was turning my beautiful calm mannered wife into a psychopath _________________ Rush Hour in Central Ontario

I'm finding I'm gradually needing less and less. Can't be good for me but at least I can rest and relax by enjoying the pleasures of this here jolly message board.
And plenty of blokes go for foreign wives when they realise they haven't got what it takes to crack the English birds. I won't ask if it was internet or a cheap agency ---- that would be impolite.
Probably best you left, far too many psychopaths in London chasing too few opportunities as it is. |
