Ooh - parallels with the current QPR board vs fans "debate".
Nice one. |
Sorry mate, don't understand what you're on about. |
I think that he means that he thinks that you're being satirical by comparing those running this internet board with those running the management board at QPR (remember them?) and implying that they think that just because we pay our £20 or whatever to use the internet/watch QPR we think that we know best how the internet/QPR should be run when really it's the high muck-a-mucks wot run the internet/QPR who really know what we want from the internet/QPR and how the internet/QPR should be run for the benefit of said muck-a-mucks and if the rest of us are happy then that's just fine too. I think. |

Fair enough Andy, I see where you're coming from now. This was also the first QPR site I used many years ago, and I can see both sides of this. ALL messageboards are suffering from too many tossers, partly I think due to what is going on with the club at the moment.
I look at most, post on a few, but if I get fed up with one I just leave it for a while.
Don't really understand why others would sooner keep visiting the site they hate so much, and then moan about it.
Different if people paid a subscription fee, THEN I could understand it..... _________________ I like my football on a Saturday,

Just an attempt - a poor attempt admittedly - at satire.
Your quote could have come from our esteemed friend with the orange skin to all the whining, moaning supporters.
Which is not really the point - as the club is more than just financial ownership. It's unlike other businesses where emotional investment has been poured in by thousands over the years - and is just as much of what makes a club what it is, as is the shares issued and players currently in the squad.
I just believe the same could be taken for this messageboard.
When I bought my first PC in about 96/97, the first thing I typed into Yahoo was QPR. (Might have been "tits" but "QPR" was a close second)
And on the returned list was "QPR.Org".
Only a viewer for the most part, but also contributed on and off ever since, as, I guess, have hundreds if not thousands of others.
My point is that this is much more than "just another MB". And I think, for what it's worth (probably f-all) the admin and ownership should reflect and respect that a little more.
In hindsight - the two board split was fair-enough. But mod that split by subject and not by participant. Was there really anything THAT bad to justify bans?
As I say, just my humble opinion on things "dot org". |
Careful Surrey Ranger, I might start warming to you if you carry on like this - maybe you should collaborate with Hudley on the Official History of the ORGS? I'd buy it. Obviously I'd expect to feature in it too, but that's beside the point... _________________ 'I feel sorry for people who don't drink. I think I might have been in a clique once.
however, now I wander lonely through the pubs of W12 with a trouser leg rolled up and a dodgy handshake.
what does it take to join these days? |
