Having listened to his extensive interview on 5live this morning I am now convinced there is no way we should sign this man. He was in complete denial that he had done anything wrong, it was all mistaken identity and the lies of others that convicted him.
I may have been more sympathetic if he had shown remorse and humility, but there was none of that. He even had his wife with him trying to give credence to his side of things. All rather unpleasant, and more about wanting to get back on the football 'gravy train', rather than being given another chance as a human being.
The biggest disaster, if we were to sign King, is that I suspect his presence will kill any team spirit that NW is supposedly attempting to build. This really must not happen!

I've just watched the video of that interview from the 5 live studio. He certainly appears to believe he's done nothing wrong and to be fair, as he says, if he had something to hide, why would he be coming on the radio to deny it. All that said, I still don't want him at HQ.

if he had evidence his own trial would have been a good place to show that. He did it and is trying to clear his name now to get a very well paid job in football. |

Bad mothers usually means bad kids. And thirty PC years of marginalising or removing fathers from families (or allowing them to easily remove themselves) has led us to where we are today. Not that all single mothers struggle with imposing discipline etc. Not all. |

Aye well my sister is a single mum get herself into Uni became a teacher her daughter went to one of the best state schools in london and now is 16 and well on her way to Uni in another 18 months or so.
She has worked herself into the ground for her daughter as did my sister in law who is a single mum and now retrained as a nurse.
While both of the dads have done feck all and have spent their time trying to make sure they pay as little as pos for children and their upkeep.
My mum was also a single mum who is a person her grandchildren see as a huge role model for the person she is.
For you to blame the mothers and sing from the daily mail hymn sheet is not only from a very narrow mind but one that needs to see that in life it can both the fault of a father or mother, and maybe sometimes the child just grows up to be an arsehole.
