1) Where are his quotes about what he thought they would do with the signings they made? There won't be any, because like everyone else he's shocked. He also knows deep down that it won't last long so lets let him enjoy himself for a while....
2) TF and the Mittals have spent more than they would lose if we get relegated. That's taking everything into account. Therefore, why wouldn't you lose a bit more to rebuild what you have spent initially? This is the most vital piece of info conveniently missed off his post the other day.
3) Opposition fans only post on other forums when they think about said side. He's clearly jealous and wishes he was from the capital city rather than some field in Great Yarmouth. Bright yellow says it all
1) Actually they are here: http://www.qprdot.org/viewtopic.php?p=546328&highlight=#546328 - from July 2011. You can pick and choose from any of my posts on there, including "We all firmly believe that Lambert can keep us up, the question is how long he will stay at the club, because most of us are convinced that he will reach the very top of the game".
2) I've read point 2 a hundred times and it sounds like something you hear in Parliament every Wednesday. What you just wrote makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me, it sounds like you are talking an alien language. Canary Wharf or Wall Street is where you should be, and this is precisely the delusion that I am talking about, what the f**k does that gobbledygook even mean? They have spent more than they would actually lose if they went
down.... right, so if you spend a tenner and don't lose a fiver, you have £10 less in your wallet. If you spend a tenner and do lose a fiver, you have £15 less in your wallet. But losing a fiver doesn't matter because you have
already spent a tenner?
That "bit of info" was left off because it is nothing but strange words produced by your fingers pressing buttons on a keyboard, which then appear on a screen, and whilst appearing initially to be coherent are almost entirely
meaningless. So... what you mean is "Sh*t I've lost £50 in the bookies today, better put my last £20 on a horse to see if I can win it back, if not the wife will kill me". Like I said, perfect logic for Wall Street
3) London is the last place that I would want to live. The worst quality of life in the country, I'm surprised you can afford to breathe. You earn £30000 in London and get to live in a double room for the priviledge, have to pay £4000 a year to use the tube, and a pint costs a fiver. Go and earn £25000 elsewhere (a realistic adjustment in salary) and you can buy yourself a three bedroom house, drive to work, and get a pint for £2.50. London? Pah. |
Please excuse my slow response. I'm currently sunning (that yucky yellow colour again....) myself in Florida so I'm in a different time zone. That £30k salary stretches a long way when you live in London, we don't need to drive East to "sunny" Yarmouth for our "treat"
1) Your quote confirms exactly what I said, your know PL won't be around long, and know when he goes Delia won't be able to cook up a good enough replacement to keep you in the PL (nice PLay on words there, get it PL/PL)
2) You seem quite a bright canary so I'm surprised after 100 reads you don't understand what stares us all in the face. You spend approx £70m on transfers and wages knowing you'll get 75% of it back on 18k gates and Prem TV money. The plan goes wrong and you get relegated. You still get 16k gates and parachute prem payments so you're out of pocket say £10-£20m per season. Not ideal, but to a family worth £20billion that's relative peanuts, call it that years interest!
So, spend £70m+ walk away at a loss or keep with the plan and spend a little more on a delayed plan of becoming a European force, coupled with losing face and revenue in other business ventures, when after all they consider this a hobbie.......simple to conclude their thoughts.
3) A pint is £3.50 down here. There aren't many places (if any) where you can earn 6, let alone 7 figure salaries in Norfolk. There are lots of opportunities down here.... |

You need to look up the definition of trolling Lejuge as thats not what you've been doing at all and what ever you think about QPR you obviously think our mesage boards are superior.
Did you also know that NFN used to be widely used medical term in the NHS which stood for 'normal for norfolk' i shit ye not |

It was a semi-apology. An admission that my trolling would have been fun had we have been in a similar position, but a bit nasty if I am going to hang around and watch you get to the last game of the season needing a win whilst we sit in the top half. |

Ah! A Scouse apology.
Now get back to your arable lands and have a pint in Stiffkey for me. I don't know if it's still any good but there used to be a wonderful pub there - several real ales and a landlady who was about a stone overweight, in all the right places.
And I've never been to a weirder place than Walsingham. Police riot vans in place to control the religious groups. It was like being back in the seventeenth century. I particularly liked the placard that said "The mass is an abomination in the eyes of Christ". Loved it. _________________ I'm Ray Gardner. I drink Blackcurrant Tango. Come and get me! |

Obviously we are all worried about when it is that he plans to leave. We hope that, like his mentor Martin O'Neill, he will tend to stay five years at each club rather than jump at the quickest opportunity.
O'Neill did five years at Leicester before taking the Celtic job. I very much doubt that Lambert will take the Celtic job at any stage, he has said himself that playing the same team four times a year is boring.
This summer will be nail biting, but at least if he goes he will go early. He likes to get his players in by the start of July, starts signing in May/early June.
At least that way whoever comes in will be getting a whole pre-season and the chance to buy his own players. I think Lambert has a lot of integrity. He will sit down and talk about what he gets to spend in the summer, and if he doesn't like it he will walk.
If we get to summer and he signs a player then he's staying, that's my opinion anyway.
You can't just pull another Lambert out of nowhere, that is pretty clear, as much as you lot probably dislike him he is heading to the top.
There is always the very slim chance that he turns out to be a David Moyes and just loves the club, but I'd give that odds of 30/1. In an interview recently when asked what he thinks the club will be doing in five years, he said "I won't be here in five years", so maybe those odds should be 500/1.
I personally think that he could hold out for better than Villa. Remember that his mentor walked out of Villa for good reason, O'Neill wanted to build a team to compete in Europe, Lerner wanted to cash in on the players that he brought on. Lambert would walk if he was forced to sell Grant Holt or Anthony Pilkington.
Villa haven't got shed loads of cash floating around, it would be a bit of a sideways move.
I'd be much more concerned if Dalglish was asked to move on in the summer. I don't think Lambert is the type to jump to the next slightly bigger club who offer him a job.
I see the biggest threats in that respect being Tottenham or Liverpool, I can't see him turning down either of those. |

Will just add to that.... if Lambert leaves it won't be too much of a travesty if the man we replace him with is Malky Mackay. Himself a Norwich legend and an up and coming manager himself.
If he gets Cardiff up however, we will have to look elsewhere, and then things will get worrying (if PL were to leave this summer).
Mackay would be someone that the fans get behind from day one, and when there is a good vibe the players will be willing to take to him too.
No Lambert and no Mackay however, and I would admittedly be pretty worried.
The only one that I can think of is Alan Curbishley, as a safe option, we've got some decent kids coming through and he is the type of manager to use them. Korey Smith, Tom Adeyemi, and George Francomb.
Norwich have done nothing but back Lambert though. We were worried that he wasn't going to get who he wanted in January, I think we missed out on one of his targets, word is that this was Snodgrass.
But he got two players in for fees totaling £5m, both young and Lambert type signings. As long as he gets who he wants in summer and isn't forced to sell any players I would fully expect him to give it another year.
We also have Leicester at home in the 5th round of the FA Cup, if we win that we are in the 6R/QF. There is no Man Utd, no Arsenal, no Man City, in that competition..... every chance that if Chelsea get drawn against Tottenham in the QF or SF we could find ourselves at Wembley.
That's a complete game changer. Because we would be in Europe. But it's football and anything can happen, we might not win another game this season and do a Blackpool.
I wouldn't bet on that, but it can happen. |
