Hi I am coming to london for a few days in a couple of weeks and fancied attending the everton game.

Never been to loftus road before so was wanting to ask can i get a ticket on the day or do i have to order in advance? Where is best end to sit?

Where is good bars to go to?

How far from the tube station?

Many thanks

Suggest you phone the box office as soon as you can.

The R block is the best end to sit in.

The Drimble Wedge is a lovely bar that serves ales and has dancing by exotic ladies.

It depends which tube station you decide to use.

You could go to Goldhawk Road,White City,Shepherds Bush,Shepherds Bush Market,Wood Lane,or if you fancy a scenic stroll,Ravenscourt Park.

We regulars call ourselves 'The Wedgies'. We have badges and t-shirts. For the end of season game we're going to have balloons.

Come along, guys, it'll be a gas!

bet Don has shares in the West Cornwall Pasty Company or personally knows a pasty maker or has been on a pasty making course or has friends that have or has a pasty swapping evening behind twitching Devizes net curtains

see Don, I'm more than just CAMRA banter

The clue, Russell, is in the name. Cornish pasty. I know little of what goes on outside Wiltshire. A bit of Somerset, Hampshire and Gloucestershire - but not too much. After all, who neeeds more?

There is, of course, the little-known Wiltshire needs. That has minced beef (or lamb) and the filling is altogether more soggy than the Cornish equivalent. Available from Reeves the baker (branches in Amesbury, Blandford, Devizes, Ringwood, Romsey, Salisbury, Shaftesbury, Warminster, Wilton & Winchester). They also do a tip-top Lardy and a good Dorset Apple Cake. I love Lardy Cake, me. But I have no direct connections there. I must get some.

Is it anything like Red Wedge ? It'd be nice to catch up with Billy Bragg and Paul Weller.

He's moved on.

We all do it.

Trips to LR used to involve a visit to the BR(then it was the GH and now it's the DW.
