Dear all,

I've been indebted to a lot of you over the last year and a bit for your support for me while my wife's been going through bowel cancer.

Although Suzy's prognosis is not wonderful (to say the least), her brother Chris is riding from London to Paris to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK, a charity that raises money for research into this hellish disease which not only has destroyed a third of Suzy's colon but has also come back with a vengeance and caused her endless discomfort.

I would go on a diatribe about what this disease does but for any of you who have come across the disease (in any of its forms), you'll appreciate it when I say it's hell for person, family and friends alike.

And I have really appreciated your prayers, your lovely "how is Suzy" notes and conversations but what we'd really, really appreciate is your cash.

Good luck. I posted a thread about Jonjo Heuerman's walk from Wembley to West ham for the Bobby Moore fund also for bowel cancer. Not one reply.

I'll be joining him. It takes place this week thursday to saturday. Not that it matters.
