Using quotes from different threads into new threads?

When seeking to quote a poster from a different thread into a new one, how do you cut and paste the bit you want with the poster's name next to their previous quote into the new thread?

Hope that makes sense...

You need to keep the post intact from the start of the square bracket before the word <quote=(name)> [q u o t e = (name) ] until the close quote command; square bracket oblique q u o t e square bracket [ / q u o t e ] any editing between those commands can be done in the normal fashion.
