It's getting to be like a social disease. angel

It seems easier to criticise fans for moaning when you possibly don't attend some of the matches that we have had to put up with this season.

Unlike some of our fans,I had a strange feeling that this year might be tough, but never for one minute did I expect to have seen us play so badly at home as we have in certain games. And when we do seem to be doing well,we have a nasty habit of pressing the self destruct button by getting a player stupidly or wrongly sent off.

Saturday was a prime example.Just when we were starting to get back into the match, another reckless challange leads to a red card, and with it,our possible route back into the game.

This season seems to have lurched from one disaster to another, and whilst I don't think we are dead and buried yet,the grave seems to be already half dug,and there is a call out for a defibrilator.
Lucky for us, there are only 3 coffins to fill, but they might be filled by any of the other 4 patients on life support.

The squad we came up with would have been massacred on a regular basis so changes had to be made and new personnel take time to settle and create a new "team" (which can produce bad-looking performances).

There's always gonna be some luck mixed in with the judgement as to how long it all takes but, in the final analysis, this season is not about performances (after all, Blackpool produced some crackers last season) but about the final position.

And, to be honest, we had some well iffy performances last season, often only saved by AT's extra quality and the fact that the opposition was usually weaker.

I know what you mean DAVE,but at least it would have been our team.If Colin had been able to get in the players he wanted, when he needed them,it might have turned out differently. The trouble is that we will never know now.
I'm sure that you can't please everyone, and some of us would have moaned whatever.

What a ridiculous thing to say: from a season ticket holder: enough already with the moaning, children.

Moaning about people moaning, is of course, perfectly acceptable. And apparently, "grown-up".

This is a football club messageboard where people comment on the club/team. As such, it is inevitable that some will express their unhappiness when the team are on a bad run. I'm not clear why that is so surprising.

It seems to me that the squad that took us up ( inc. Kaspars ), would have treated each game like a cup tie and would have been roared on by the crowd. Instead, we are not being massacred but we are still losing virtually all home games, with an expensive team. No wonder the crowd is disgruntled.

I must say, I can't remember being as disappointed as I was after leaving the Norwich game last month for a long time. That one particularly hurt because they were really rubbish and yet we couldn't string a thing together.

It's always going to be the case in the PL though. I don't care what the other teams are doing, I expected it to be hard this season. When you've gone from winning so many games to then struggling, it's hard to adjust. If we manage to stay up then the goal is to build and try and finish mid-table. But even a mid-table PL team still loses a lot of games.

If we hadn't signed the Bartons, Wright-Phillips and Zamoras, there would have been a small but vocal contingent having apoplectic episodes on a regular basis because of our lack of ambition. They would have pointed out that Gorkss, Derry, Orr et al weren't up to it, etc.

These same football geniuses - and I was sat next to a prize one in KU on Saturday - are busy making an art form out of blowing their gaskets at these same players who were bought precisely because we were trying to show a bit of ambition. Instant results not being forthcoming, they have long since worn out their toddler patience. God alone knows what they would have made of Karl Connolly, Tony Scully, Keith Rowland, or any of the other dazzling memories that form a large part of our recent cultural history.

Get a grip - support your team.
