Rodgers to Liverpool, Lambert to Villa, Sparky stays with us. I would rather be a Rangers fan now, can you imagine the despair at Norwich/Swansea? Hahahahahaha!!! The Price of Progress. Maybe two spots are taken next year. I have no idea why Lambert went to Villa. _________________ "If a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass a-hoppin"

| I reckon many Norwich and Swansea fans will still be high on their achievements of last season and be thinking of kicking on as much as imploding. As many of our fans thought our Championship winning squad would do well in the Prem and as many Reading fans seem to think mid-table safety is easily obtainable with only the odd signing or two. |

In other news.... the RMS Titanic has sunk on its maiden voyage somewhere in the North Atlantic, and Roger Bannister has run the first four minute mile!
Seriously though, do you rely on a public library for your football news? To think you were only 10 hours quicker in announcing the Lambert news as Norwich were agreeing compensation for, interviewing, signing up, and then announcing the appointment of, Chris Hughton.
Just think, you are five days slower than this kid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7vv0Fje0h4

look, slow or fast doesn't matter, it's off season, I am not ITK'ing anybody, I just thought how funny it was that two fine managers abandoned their clubs. They were responsible for their clubs doing well, now look at us, we got Sparky and Tony and money to get 4/5 players, we can buy them first, while Norwich and Swans look for managers all summer. It is a point of view, not ITK. _________________ "If a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass a-hoppin"

Chris Hughton, big deal. Sparky wins that one. _________________ "If a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass a-hoppin"

your anger as a Norwich fan is understandable
try to keep an open mind about the fact that Lambert is a genius who left you, ditched you for a prettier girl from a rich family. _________________ "If a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass a-hoppin"

| Nice to see LeJuge but that is only an existing squad player committing - what about the new players coming in to give you a chance of survival this year? |

Could say the same to QPR in fairness mate.
You lot keep going on about how much money you have, but you didn't use it to your advantage last year.
Hughton has just been handed the biggest transfer budget in the history of our club according to our chief exec.
Lambert got £15m last year (pretty much fact), he is getting £25m at Villa (rumoured).
Yes, you have to spend money wisely, and there are plenty of managers who can piss money up the wall.
But you lot build a back four of Ohoura, Ferdinand, Traore, and Young.... and still shipped 66 goals.
So right back at ya, you need the right players too.
I'm quite excited actually, to see who people end up with, I suspect Euro 2012 will make some players.
Lambert has made his reputation by getting rough diamonds and polishing them into gems.... or whatever the saying is.
We can only hope that Hughton can spot a player too.
Hatam Ben Arfa was happy to sign for him at Newcastle..... |

Signing players that a manager might want often depends on whether the club is able/willing to pay any required transfer fee AND the wages a player might want (and can't better elsewhere)? |

We shipped 66 goals across the season and those players were not around for all of the season - having the luxury of a more settled pre-season will see a better return from this group of players.
Of Hughes signings, Onouha still has to settle but looks a good pacy defender - Taiwo was quality at left back and Diakite in midfield is going to be class.
Cisse in limited time on the pitch gave a good return of goals and Zamora offered a lot, despite being asked to play the sole centre forward role on plenty of occasions.
There is more to come from this group of players and I am sure that further adaptation and understanding of Hughes' tactics and fitness regime will stand us in better stead this time round. |

We have managed just fine without promising to make over-rated scouse nutters richer than Morgan Chase executives.
So I'm happy with whatever our wage structure and transfer budget is. I love the way that Norwich have done things, and long may it continue.
Remember that there is a limit to how much QPR are going to be able to spend with their fan base. FFP rules and all that.
Goodness knows what would happen if you got relegated.
Over the next three years you may find that you aren't actually allowed to pay people £5m a year.
