How about a sneaky bid for Adam Johnson? Surely they have to do us a good deal considering we let them win the title Laughing

Also, Miguel Veloso could be a good signing, creative defensive midfielder from genoa

Two DM's ; a centre forward and a centre-back, we don't need another winger.

I think we could do with an extra winger actually, one who could play on either flank. 3 players I'd go for are:

GK - Paul Robinson (Season loan)

MR / ML - Matt Jarvis

ST - Yakubu (On loan if possible)

The other positions, I have complete confidence that Hughesy will find a few gems.

I'd love to see Taiwo and Diakite join on permanent deals. That would give us a massive boost!

Bearing in mind we signed a scout recently I am expecting the unexpected wrt any transfers/ loans during the close season.
An 18 year old Gianluigi Buffon clone would be a good start. Wink

As good as a signing would be to get SWP firing properly again. He showed flashes towards the end of the season and I am loathe to write him off.

Not sure Hughes would want another big club player with reported attitude problems, which is what Adam Johnson is …

Would really like Taiwo to stay, he's a great LB.
IMO Diakite made some dangerous tackles this season and appeared to be a liability. Improved significantly as towards the end of the season though.

We could do with another Keeper, defender (two if Taiwo leaves), two in midfield and another striker.

Who does everyone think will be leaving this season?

Sign Diakite for £3.5 million and its a snip - give him 2 years and he will be worth 4-5 times that amount. A great talent.

The Essien of his generation.

Essien isn't the player he was. Looked poor this season.

Looks like my question has been paritally answered:

Hughes has also decided to release eight out-of-contract players at the end of their deals.
Patrick Agyemang, Gary Borrowdale, Lee Cook, Danny Gabbidon, Fitz Hall, Peter Ramage, Danny Shittu and Rowan Vine will all be leaving Loftus Road next month.

And these guys are staying:
Quote:
Kieron Dyer has signed a new one-year contract with Premier League side QPR.
Quote:
Mark Hughes has offered new contracts to goalkeeper Radek Cerny, defender Clint Hill and midfielder Akos Buzsaky.

Taiwo and Diakite have to stay, would love to see Yak here, Cisse and Yak together? Wow! Robinson is a good idea. a winger with pace would help adel (if he is still at Rangers) play in the middle. Mackie has to play right wing. Maybe Traore left wing? SWP gets knocked off the ball too easily..

why would anybody keep Keiron "Stretcher" Dyer? Get a pacy guy from the championship, that'd be better.
